Action for Children & Women Organization (ACWO), founded as a CBO in 2022 and registered as a NNGO in May 2023 by RRC, is a Child & Women led Organization that envisions building a Child & Women friendly society in South Sudan.
ACWO was founded to address the horrible children & women situations characterized by poverty, unemployment, child marriage, GBV, child abuse, food insecurity, street children, school dropouts, mental health issues, poor hygiene, poor health and nutrition among others. To overcome these issues, ACWO aims to promote a gender inclusive resilient activities that enhance the safeguarding of children and women rights in the community.
ACWO current operational areas cover Eastern, Central and Western Equatoria states, Jonglei State, Northern Bhar-el-Ghazel State and Lakes State with an option to operate across all the South Sudan states under meaningful partnerships.
To carry out its mandate effectively and to have greater impact in the community, ACWO has developed its aims & objectives, vision, mission slogan and core values as a guide in program interventions and activities as noted below.
